You’ll be picked up from your hotel around 9:00 PM in an air-conditioned vehicle. After a scenic 3-hour drive to Catherine City (delays possible due to convoys), you’ll arrive at the foot of Mount Sinai.

The climb begins! Trek 7 km with an additional 500 stone steps to the summit, a journey of roughly 3 hours. Once at the top, take a break and witness a truly unforgettable sunrise over the desert mountains.

After descending, visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest functioning monasteries in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Greek Orthodox chapel, admire ancient icons, and see the Burning Bush.

The trip is not difficult at all! The path is fairly level and well-trodden. There’s lots of stops on the way so you’ll get plenty of chances to catch your breath. If you do find yourself struggling, or you just fancy the experience, feel free to hire a camel or a donkey and relax as your taken up the mountain!
